Ann. Méd. Vét., 2003, 147 (1), pp 41 - 47 Identification and characterisation of Staphylococcus species isolated from cow milk associated or not with mastitis.Hassen S.B., Messadi L., Hassen A.B.Abstract :
A total of 108 strains of staphylococci were isolated from 73 milk samples from milk quarters associated or not with mastitis from three farms (Tunisia). Coagulase negative staphylococci (79%) and Staphylococcus aureus (17.5%) were identified. The main isolated coagulase negative staphylococci were S. chromogenes (19.5%) and S. epidermidis (10.5%). Genomic analysis of S. warneri, S. epidermidis and S. xylosus showed their unclonal origin. Coagulase negative staphylococci were more sensitive to penicillin G. No resistance was observed for rifampicin and vancomycin of S. aureus and coagulase negative staphylococci Get the PDF Contact person : bh.assia@planet.tn |
