Ann. Méd. Vét., 2009, 153 (1), pp 22-30 Assisted reproduction in the equine: collection, evaluation, maturation and use of equine oocytes.DELEUZE S., PONTHIER J., HANZEN C.Abstract :
Despite the paucity of equine oocytes available for research, recently developped assisted reproduction techniques can now be offered to produce embryos from subfertile stallions and mares or to salvage their genetics
after their death. This paper describes the clinical aspects of oocytes collection either ex vivo or in vivo, their evaluation and in vitro maturation and discusses
their uses for intra-follicular and intra-oviductal oocyte transfer
and intra-cytoplasmic sperm injection. Get the PDF Contact person : S.Deleuze@ulg.ac.be |
