Ann. Méd. Vét., 2008, 152 (4), pp 221-226 Validation of an enumeration method of the somatic cells in cow's milk (Coulter Counter model Z2)KEBBAL S., GHARBI I., GUEMRA S., HANZEN CH., GUETARNI D.Abstract :
Since a long time used for the
connected sanitary and technical
management of dairy cattle, the result of cells count of bulk is than indirectly of cells individual is being an official criteria of milk payment and milk control.
This study is consecrated to the
evaluation of particular count(Z2 Coulter Counter®), after first
calibration and etallonement, an
evaluation of its performances has been realised by the determination of the accuracy, the fidelity and the criteria of the appreciation analysis on milk samples of quarter’s. For the accuracy
appreciation, the milk samples have been enumerating imperviously by microscopic numeration according to Prescott and Breed (1910) method. The results obtained revealed a good correlation(CC = 0.94), with a coefficient of variation of 3.17 %. The
fidelity, evaluated on the basis of the repeatability (0.2 %) and
reproducibility (0.8 %) is of 1 %.
This values are definitely lower than the standards recommended by the International Dairy Federation (1995). The diagnostic value of the material used is confirmed by the values of 0.96
and 0.87 % obtained respectively for the sensibility and specificity.
The confirmation of the quality of the material used drop a hint that it is possible used at a large ladder in the Wilaya of Blida. In this title it constitutes an irreplaceable tool in the control of the quality and the valorisation of milk. Get the PDF Contact person : kebbal_seddik@yahoo.fr |
