A study of some non genetic factors influencing the mortality from birth to weaning of young rabbits was realized from records on 1821 litters from 11 rabbit farms in the south of Benin, from
December 2001 to January 2004.
The mortality rate from birth to weaning was recorded and analysed by GENMOD procedure.
The mortality rate from birth to weaning varied according to the rabbit farm (P < 0.001). The mortalities rate from birth to weaning increased from 11 to 19 %, corresponding respectively to the
first and the twelfth litter orders.
The mortality rate increased significantly (P < 0.001) from 12 % to 17 %, according to the litter size. Get the PDF Contact person : iyoussao@yahoo.fr |
