DJERBOUH A.,TOUDJINE M., DJOUDI M., BENIKHLEF R., HARRAT Z.Abstract :
In Algeria, the dog is the main reservoir for visceral leishmaniosis (Leishmania infantum). For this reason and to avoid the propagation
of the disease to man, infected dogs are euthanized most of the time. In this study the authors report good clinical, serological and parasitological results obtained with allopurinol in four naturally infected dogs.
